Finished in three-color sunburst with a rosewood fretboard and tortoise shell pickguard, this Lone Star Stratocaster features Fender's Texas Special single coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, with a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickup in the bridge position.

The Pearly Gates pickup was developed by Seymour Duncan for Billy Gibbons, guitarist of ZZ Top.

The controls include a master volume control and two tone controls. One of the two tone controls is dedicated to the bridge pickup, the other tone control is for the neck and middle pickups.

Aside from the pickguard and the electronic components, the hardware and woodwork are the same as the American Standard Stratocaster.
