This is a three quarter size classical guitar with a solid spruce top, rosewood back and sides, and a mahogany neck. The bridge, fretboard, peghead overlay and neck heel button overlay are also of rosewood. This is the guitar that `Rique calls La Leonita, which can be heard to purr and growl on the solo of Soy Victima de tus Labios (Pollo Loco records, 1989).

`Rique found this guitar in 1995, where one of the stores in San Antonio had accepted it from another customer as partial payment for a new guitar. It was dirty and badly strung, in a manner that made the guitar impossible to tune. `Rique paid $120 for it and it has remained by the sofa in the living room ever since. It is a much-loved little instrument and well worth the price paid.
